Feature: RSS

ProjectPipe provides RSS feeds of project data. For any type of data (Requirements, Issues, Documents, etc.), you can subscribe to:

RSS: The Universal Dashboard

We believe that RSS readers are becoming the "Universal Dashboard", as they allow you to aggregate and manage inbound data on your terms. ProjectPipe makes it very easy for you to integrate project data into your news reading schedule, so that new issues sit alongside your cable news feeds, stock updates, and weather in your RSS reader.

ProjectPipe RSS Feed Browser

ProjectPipe provides a very easy-to-use browser that lets you quickly find the RSS feed that you are looking for. The browser displays both the traditional drag-and-droppable RSS hyperlink, as well as the underlying URL for your feed, in case you want to easily cut-and-paste the location of a specific RSS feed. The feed browser is pictured below:

Custom Query Feeds

In addition to the add/change/delete feeds, ProjectPipe also allows you to subscribe to any custom queries that you have created. Let's say for example, that you have created a custom query for all "Unassigned" Issues with a "High" priority. You can then subscribe to an RSS feed for that query, and any new items will be flagged by your RSS reader, easily coming to your attention. In the Feed Browser, your Custom Queries sit alongside the other "stock" RSS feeds, as shown below:

Secure and Robust

ProjectPipe's RSS Feeds are driven by its robust Audit Subsystem, you can be ensured that you'll always have the very latest changes. Also, since the RSS feeds are protected by ProjectPipe's Role-based Security, all RSS feeds are secured, and you have fine grained control over the types of RSS feeds that individuals have access to.
