Subversion is a very good and very popular source code management tool. It runs on all major platforms and integrates with most major development tools and IDEs (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.).

Automated Bugfix Workflow

ProjectPipe also provides integration between the source code repository and your Issues list. ProjectPipe can advance an Issue's status to "Fixed" based upon the developer's comments when they commit a change in Subversion.

This way, a project manager can easily monitor the rate of bug fixes by simply subscribing to an RSS feed of changes to the Issues list.
